1 Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using SneakyChat, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use SneakyChat.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and SneakyChat. "You" and "user" refer to any person who accesses or uses the service.

2 Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use SneakyChat. By using the service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.

We reserve the right to terminate access for any user we reasonably believe to be under 13.

3 Description of service

SneakyChat is an anonymous random-match text chat service. The service pairs two users ("foxes") for a time-limited conversation. Key characteristics include:

• No user accounts or registration required
• All chats are text-only and limited to 2 minutes by default, extendable by mutual consent
• Sessions are managed via a signed JSON Web Token stored in the user's browser
• Chat messages are not stored or logged by us
• The service is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time without notice.

4 The berry system

SneakyChat uses a virtual credit system called "berries" to manage access and encourage positive behaviour. Berries have no monetary value and cannot be purchased, transferred, or redeemed for any real-world benefit.

Berry balances are stored in a signed token in your browser. Clearing your browser storage permanently resets your berry count to the starting value. We are not responsible for any loss of berry balance due to browser actions, device changes, or technical issues.

5 Acceptable use

SneakyChat is intended to facilitate genuine, spontaneous conversation between strangers. You agree to use it only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.

You must not use SneakyChat to:

Violation of these prohibitions may result in immediate termination of your session and any future access to SneakyChat.

7 Content and intellectual property

You are solely responsible for everything you type in a chat. Because SneakyChat does not store messages, we have no ability to review or moderate chat content after the fact.

All original content on SneakyChat - including the name, logo, design, and software - is the intellectual property of SneakyChat. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without written permission.

You grant SneakyChat no licence over your chat messages since we do not store or process them beyond real-time relay.

8 Anonymity and safety

SneakyChat is designed to be anonymous. However, anonymity does not guarantee safety.

• Never share your real name, address, phone number, school, workplace, or financial information in a chat
• Be cautious if someone attempts to move a conversation to another platform
• Trust your instincts - if a chat feels wrong, skip it
• If you receive a credible threat or witness illegal content, please contact local law enforcement

9 Disclaimers and limitation of liability

SneakyChat is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, SneakyChat and its operators shall not be liable for:

• Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
• Loss of data, including berry balances, resulting from technical failures
• Content sent by other users during chats
• Any harm resulting from your reliance on information shared in a chat
• Unauthorised access to or alteration of your data

Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of these Terms shall not exceed the amount you have paid to SneakyChat (which, as a free service, is $0).

10 Termination and suspension

We reserve the right to restrict or terminate access to SneakyChat at any time, for any reason, including but not limited to violation of these Terms, abuse of the platform, or operational requirements.

Because no accounts exist, "termination" means blocking access from specific identifiers (e.g. IP address or device fingerprint) at our discretion. You acknowledge that we cannot always identify individual users and that enforcement is inherently limited.

11 Governing law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which SneakyChat operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that jurisdiction, except where prohibited by applicable local law.

12 Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms at any time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the bottom of this page. For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify users (e.g. a notice on the main page).

Continued use of SneakyChat after updated Terms are posted constitutes your acceptance of those changes. If you disagree with any update, your only recourse is to stop using the service.
